Some people think I'm crazy when I get upset about missing a day. Well, in a way they are right because missing a day makes me CRAZY. I hate not being able to train if I'm sick or injured. However, being strong and healthy means listening to your body when it's telling you to take a break. It's better to be smart than to feel worse because you pushed too hard or too far. I struggle the most with resting in order to recuperate from too much activity and not get run down. Because I am highly motivated and goal oriented, I get stuck in a place sometimes where I have lost that sense of balance.
Today I stayed home and fought the urge to just go and practice anyway against my better judgement. I needed to rest today, might need to rest tomorrow too. But I know that I'll feel so much better after because I acknowledge that my body needs it. But don't think it will be long, Can't wait to get back on those mats as soon as possible! :D ~Cristina
